OUR SELECT RECIPES Boiled Eggs Ingredients 1 1/2 Cup Water 3 Eggs Without Cracks (wash off any brown stuff i.e., chicken poop)
Using a medium or small saucepan, add water and carefully place 3 eggs in the water. Set timer for 20 minutes (yes, first!). Turn on high heat until it begins to boil. Turn heat down (on mine, somewhere between medium high and medium) and wait for timer. When finished cooking, remove with thongs and place in a bowl of water. Wait 1 minute. To crack, tap side of egg with knife handle and place under running tap, begin squishing and peeling away the egg shell. Wash off any small pieces of shell left on the egg, these shell pieces taste terrible - I know from experience. Blech. 1 Egg contains all the necessary recommended amino acids for 1 day, a complete protein meal in itself.
